MAGGI 2-Min Extra Spicy Curry Noodles - 超啦咖哩面

MAGGI Extra Spicy Curry Noodles
Hello everyone! Although today is Monday but due to the public holiday (Vesak Day in Singapore) tomorrow I guess it's still worth to look forward for some rest and gathering time. For brunch today, I cook the new MAGGI 2-Min Extra Spicy Curry Noodles together with some chicken drumsticks and potato which inspired from my aunt who always cook this dish using Maggi Curry Noodle.

MAGGI EXTRA SPICY CURRY NOODLES

[MAGGI Extra Spicy Curry Noodle] Noodle, Signature Curry Powder and Fried Shallot Bits
As you can see from the above, the instant noodle pack comes with noodle (slighter bigger portion that the usual one) together with sachets of extra spicy curry powder and fried shallot bits. With the above you can easily prepare a quick meal within 2-Min with/without adding egg for a simple lunch or supper. But as for complete and more nutritious dish, you can choose to add in extra ingredients like meat, fishball, vegetables, egg and etc to make it a filling meal.

[MAGGI Extra Spicy Curry Noodle] Ingredients

(Yield: 1 serving | Preparation: 10 minutes  | Cooking: 2 minutes)

Ingredients:
  • 1 Packet MAGGI 2-Min Extra Spicy Curry Noodles
  • 2 Chicken Drumstick
  • 1 Medium Potato, halved
  • Some Veggie (bok choy)
  • 1 Hard-boiled Egg

Steps to prepare the curry noodles
Method:
1. Bring egg and water to boil for 3.5 minutes (hard-boiled egg with slightly under cooked yolk), remove from heat. Soaked egg in cold water to bring down the temperature, remove the outer shell and set aside.

2. Blanched chicken drumstick in boiling water for 2 minutes; remove, rinse and set aside.

3. Next bring 450ml of water to boil, add in chicken drumstick, potato and MAGGI Curry Powder from the noodle pack. Simmer mixture on low heat for about 10 minutes or until potato soften.

4. Remove chicken and potato to serving bowl. Add in noodle, cook for 1.5 minutes then add in veggies and continue to cook for another 10 seconds or more depend on the type of vegetable used.

5. Transfer noodle to serving bowl, top with egg, fried shallot bits and some extra cut chilli if you prefer.

MAGGI Extra Spicy Curry Noodles
After 15 minutes, my version of Extra Spicy Curry Noodles was ready! I taste the soup broth before adding anything and it was really spicy as compared to their normal curry noodles so if you cannot take spicy stuffs, I won't recommend you to add in extra cut chilli.

Remember for a rich and spicy broth don't adjust the water level which might somehow dilute the taste. So if you are a MAGGI Curry Noodles fans who enjoy spicy soup broth I think you should attempt to give this a try. These extra spicy curry noodles are now available at all leading supermarkets including Cold Storage, FairPrice, Giant, Sheng Siong and Prime for a price of SG$3.45 a packet (with 5 individual pack in it).

Likewise my mum and aunt also try out this MAGGI Extra Spicy Curry Noodles and they both agreed that the spicy level was still manageable for their liking. Above was my mum's version of curry noodles where she added in some Yong Tau Foo to make a filling meal for her dinner.
