Zebra Pandan Chiffon Cake

A few days ago, I saw a beautiful Zebra Pandan Chiffon Cake from one of the Chinese website which I get to know through Aspiring Bakers event. And upon looking at it I knew I must give it a try because Pandan Chiffon is one of my favourite childhood cake even till now. This Zebra Chiffon required some sponge cake to achieve the zebra effect but since I cannot find any sponge cake at my area I replaced it with Japanese Cotton Cheesecake which yield a different end result compare to the original recipe.

Dual Coffee Chiffon Cake

Making chiffon cakes are always one of my greatest enjoyments in the kitchen, as I love to experiment it with different ingredients. Usually after putting the batter in the oven I would be waiting excitedly for the cake to be baked and cool to room temperature before cutting. Personally I love the soft and fluffy texture of these chiffon cakes that always make me go for second helping during tea time.

Chocolate Chiffon Cake with Multigrain & Mixed Fruits

I have almost forgotten this yummy chiffon cake that has being hiatus inside my half-drafted post section since late August till now. As regular readers of this blog, I am sure you knew we love anything that is made of chocolate. So for this chiffon cake I used some cocoa powder, mini chocolate chips and dark chocolate chunks as main ingredients. And in order to enhance it’s outlook, I sprinkle generous amount of store bought Multigrain mixture and dried mixed fruit for that extra texture and colour.

Matcha & Chestnut Chiffon Cake

It has being almost a year for chiffon cake baking since my last tried on “Banana & Passion Fruit Chiffon Cake”. While preparing the ingredients I was still kind of worry and nervous whether the texture of the chiffon cake will turn out with desire outcome.

Today’s combination idea came from my Matcha Madeleines. After using that new Matcha powder that I bought a few weeks ago, I was delighted to try out another recipe using it. So in order to have something light and healthy I decided to bake this Matcha & Chestnut Chiffon Cake.

Durian Chocolate Chiffon Cake

This is 2nd Chiffon Cake recipe that I experiment and tested. I used the combination of Cocoa Powder + 70% Dark Chocolate + fresh DURIAN as main ingredients. So you can imagine having a bite on this slice of cake with such combination where you can actually smell and taste the baked durian in a rich cocoa content. Since this is a chiffon cake, you will find the texture of the cake to be light, spongy and fluffy rather than that greasy and dense compare to cake.

Lemon Poppy Seeds Chiffon Cake

Got the inspiration to make this Lemon Poppy Seeds Chiffon Cake because a friend of mine return from Perth during Chinese New Year gave me a big bottle of the Australia Poppy Seeds. And the moment when I saw that, I knew it time for me to try out this cake again.... :P Because so far the poppy seeds that I have is from Malaysia so when I got the Australia sample, I actually look forward to bake something and try what are the different between these two. And indeed the poppy seeds from Australia actually has a stronger fragrant and taste compare to the one that I had.
