[Recipes] Quick & Hearty Meals With CP Food Cooking Kit

Hello folks, it had being almost two months since our last post till now and we hope you peeps are doing fine. Although I might not have time to update a proper post over here but time to time I still share our daily meals and bakes over at other social media such as SnapChat, Instagram or Dayre. Above was a quick quick dinner which I whipped up last weekend using two of the CP Food cooking kits which we received as media samples.

We had Stir-fried Chicken with Holy Basil ($4.60) serve with steamed rice and sunny-side-up egg for two and Yakiudon prepared using Sliced Pork with Ginger Sauce ($5.90) together with sliced cabbage & onion. Recipes and snaps of preparation are available in this post too.

I am sure many of us missed our mum's homecook dishes especially after a tiring day at work. And instead grabbing the usual take-out, perhaps you might want to try one of these latest CP Food convenience cooking kits to cook a fuss-free hearty meal in less than 20 minutes.

Furthermore these microwaveable or boil-in-bag dishes make home-cooking much easier from freezer to table within minutes and they are with no preservatives added too. So next round do check them out at your nearest supermarket to pick up their one of your selections.

YAKIUDON
(using CP Sliced Pork with Ginger Sauce)

We love quick one-pot dish especially noodles on Monday night because I don't actually stock up fresh ingredients during weekend (off day for my kitchen) unless I get them from supermarket (wet market at our area is closed on Monday).  Yaki Udon is one of the Japanese stir-fried noodle dish cook using meat or seafood together with vegetables and udon noodles.

Here by using CP Stir-fry Pork with Ginger Sauce and ready pack of udon noodle you can easily prepared this Yakiudon in 20 minutes time. Be sides that to complete the meal with a healthier option you can add in extra vegetables such as cabbage, onion, bell pepper, carrot and etc.

(Yield: 2 | Preparation: 10 minutes | Cooking: 10 minutes)

Ingredients:
1 packet CP Sliced Pork with Ginger Sauce
1 packet udon noodle
1/2 medium carrot, shredded
1/2 brown onion, sliced
A few cabbage leaves, sliced
1 stalk spring onion, cut into sections
1 Egg, optional
Sliced chilli, optional

Method:
1. Thaw the sliced pork package at room temperature (10 minutes) while preparing the rest of the ingredients.

2. Prepare udon noodle according to packet instructions and set aside.

3. Preheat frying pan with oil, sauté onion till fragrant before adding in cabbage, spring onion and continue to cook until vegetable is soften.

4. Next add in sliced pork and cook for a minute to heat through the mixture before tossing in the prepared udon noodles and 50ml of hot water.

5. Lastly season it with 1/2 teaspoon of sweet dark soy sauce (optional) for colour and taste. Toss in shredded carrot, mix well and serve immediately.

Here is a short demo clip on preparing Yakiudon and Basil Chicken Rice.

THAI BASIL CHICKEN
(using CP Stir Fried Chicken with Holy Basil)

We often cooked Thai Basil Minced Pork at home whenever I get hold of fresh Thai basil leaves from the vegetables stall. So when I saw the Thai Basil Chicken in the gift pack it immediately caught my attention on the "must try" list. We find the overall taste slightly sweet to our liking and somehow it remind us of chilli crab instead of basil chicken. But as an instant product it is still quite decent to serve as a meal on lazy weeknight.

(Yield: 2 | Preparation: 5 minutes | Cooking: 5 minutes)

Ingredients:
1 packet of CP Stir Fried Chicken with Holy Basil
2 servings of steamed rice
2 sunny-side-up eggs
Extra basil leaves and sliced chilli, optional

Method:
1. Thaw the packet of basil chicken for 10 minutes, remove the product from packaging and place onto a microwavable dish with lid and zap on HIGH for 6 minutes.

Alternatively;

Pour the whole packet of meat content into a pan and heat through on medium heat for 2 minutes.

2. Serve with steamed rice and a sunny-side-up egg on the side.
