[recipe + video] Sumptuous Chinese New Year Meal with CP Foods

Hello friends, still thinking of what to cook for reunion dinner or getting ingredients to wrap your wonton and gyoza? Actually you can get everything done hassle-free by tapping on to CP Foods' array of steamboat items such as shrimp wonton, chicken and pork gyoza plus they newly launched clear chicken broth concentrate.

All you need is to cut the package, pour and you are minutes away from your meal. Below is our upgrade version of "shrimp wonton soup" which I am sure it will add some bonus points to your feast.

Who say you can't serve convenient food in a sumptuous way. This festive season you can easily impress your guest with a pot of hearty shrimp wonton soup in 20 minutes. All you need is a pack or two of the CP JUMBO Shrimp Wonton, fish maw or sea cucumber plus vegetable of your choice. I think adding choy sum or spinach pairs well with the ingredients in term of its colour. And if you prefer you can replace seasoning pack with chicken broth for a different soup base.

(Yield: 2-3    |  Preparation: 10 minutes  |  Cooking: 15 minutes)

1 pack of CP JUMBO Shrimp Wonton
10-15g of fish maw, soaked till soften
1 pack of choy sum, cut into sections
some goji berry
600ml water or chicken broth

1. Soak fish maw in hot water until soften then squeeze out the liquid. Repeating this process at least twice to remove the oil, rinse with water and set aside.

2. Add Shrimp wontons into boiling water with 1/4 teaspoon of oil and cook for 3 minutes. Remove, rinse with water and set aside.

3. Bring 600ml of water to boil, add in one or two packets (according to your taste) of the given seasoning powder then follow by the prepared fish maw.

4. When the mixture comes to boil again, lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

5. Lastly add in choy sum and wontons then cook for another minute. Turn off the heat, add in goji berry and dash of pepper and serve immediately.
