Fried Chrysanthemum Chicken

Saw this recipe from one of the TV cooking show, but I modify it a bit to suit our taste. If you love the scent of Chrysanthemum Flower, you will definitely loves this dish. The main ingredients for this recipe are chicken fillet and Chrysanthemum. And with other combination of ingredients like lemongrass and onion, you will be able to create a special flavour, so do give it a try.

Ingredients: (serves 2)
500g Chicken Breast Fillet
10g Fresh Chrysanthemum
1 Stalk Lemongrass
20g Onion
20g Garlic
10g Coriander Root
30ml Water

Seasonings:
1 Tablespoon Sugar
1 Tablespoon Fish sauce
1 Tablespoon Chinese Cooking Wine
1 Teaspoon Pepper
½ Teaspoon Sesame Oil
1½ Tablespoon Corn flour

Methods:
1. Blend all ingredients except chicken fillet into a paste.
2. Marinate the chicken with the paste and the seasoning for 30 minutes.
3. Preheat the frying pan with  some cooking oil to fry the chicken fillet until golden brown and served warm.

  1. Hi Ellena,

Do you use the commercially bought flowers? Aren't you afraid of the pesticides? How do you get rid of it?

    Love to hear from you.
