Easy Chocolate Cake by Corelle Snapware

[Corelle Snapware] Easy Chocolate Cake
About two weeks ago, I received a media gift set from World Kitchen on their latest 3-in-1 Corelle Snapware dinnerware and bakeware which enable consumers to bake, serve and store. With these new products extra food from table can go straight into the fridge or freezer on the go without the hassle to transfer them to another storage container.

Other than the two complimentary Corelle Snapware dishes in the media gift, they also included a recipe and some ingredients for us to bake a quick chocolate cake at the comfort of our home so that we are able to experience the convenience of this new 3-in-1 kitchenware too.

Recipe adapted from Corelle Snapware

(Yield: 4-6 | Preparation: 10 minutes | Cooking: 20 minutes)

Ingredients:
  • 70g Dark Chocolate Couverture
  • 12g Plain Flour
  • 15g Corn Flour
  • 25g Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs (55g each)
  • 60g Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Milk

Method:
1. Preheat oven to 200°C (Degree Celsius), grease a small (12cm x 12cm) Corelle Snapware dish and set aside.

2. Melt dark chocolate with butter and milk over a double boiler till smooth and glossy.

3. Remove chocolate mixture away from heat, fold in flour mixtures (sieved plain flour and corn flour) and sugar until well combined.

4. Add in one egg at a time and mix well then pour batter into the greased Corelle Snapware dish.

5. Top with some extra dark chocolate chip and pecan nuts. Bake in preheated oven for 10 - 12 minutes till the surface is firm to touch and slightly crumbs in the middle of the cake when a skewer inserted in the center.

6. Remove from oven, dust with icing sugar and serve with your desire ice-cream and fresh berries.

Frankly speaking I was kind of nervous at that moment when I placed the bakeware which filled with cake batter into the oven because I am afraid that it might burst/crack anytime due to the high temperature. But when time past, instead of getting more and more nervous I am totally sold by the aroma of the chocolate cake and when it was out of the oven my heart melted together with those oozing chocolate. So now with these new bakeware I can easily whipped up my favourite chocolate cake any time of the day, eat and store the left over within the same container either in the fridge or on the kitchen top.
