Yesterday we had a wonderful afternoon at the "Girls' Day Out with Häagen-Dazs" event whereby I get to enjoy simple and yet luxury treat with my family and girl friends at Häagen-Dazs, Holland Village outlet. During these 3-days media event, Häagen-Dazs introduces a new high tea concept where we girls get to catch up with friends and bond over three new irresistible treat from the decadent High Tea Affair, Macaroon Melange and Petite Temptations.

With this yummy treat, I believe you would set a date with your girlfriends, mum or loved ones in order to enjoy this luxurious high tea plus the limited edition Petite Temptations which are available at all Häagen-Dazs outlets(location HERE) nationwide, starting from 27th March 2012 - 31st May 2012.

Häagen-Dazs created this High Tea concept in order to ignite strings of feminine bond as well as deliver a luxurious day out for the girls. With this indulgent treats, quality time spent and smiles would definitely brings relationships together with ever mouthful shard between friends and loved ones.

HIGH TEA AFFAIR
(@ S$38++)

My heart was totally captured by this Häagen-Dazs 3-tier High Tea set known as "High Tea Affair" when it was served yesterday during the media preview. This High Tea set comes with:-

~ 3 mini scoops each of "Cookie Dough Chip, Belgian Chocolate and Strawberry Ice Cream" on the top layer;

6 heart throbbing assorted flavour mini ice cream "macaroons" in the middle; and

~ lately end with some fresh and beautiful slices of kiwis, raspberries and grapes.

Just to share, at first upon looking at the ice cream macaroon I didn't even realise that the outer "shells" were actually made with ice cream instead of the usual almond biscuit shell for macaroon. And indeed having these sexy French treats that served in assorted flavour of ice cream has definitely marked my day.

PETITE TEMPTATIONS
(@ S$18++)

Next we have Petite Temptations which is a limited edition tat comes with chunks of buttery cookie dough and sweet fudge chips hidden in folds of the delicious Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream. On top of that it was also accompanied by drizzles of mango and chocolate sauce which enhance overall taste to its fullest. We simply love the feeling of the cold ice cream between the crunchy cookie dough which makes a perfect combination for this treat.

BEVERAGES

Apart from the ice cream on it's own we also tried their in-house delights such as "Berry Cool" that serves with combination of Strawberry Ice Cream, Raspberry Sorbet, Milk and Strawberry sauce. Personally I am not a "berry" liking person as I am afraid of its sourish taste but this Häagen-Dazs berry treat do great even for my liking.

For hot beverages, we have "Earl Grey Tea" and "Cafe Belgian Mocha" which blend using Belgian Chocolate ice cream with steamed milk, whipped cream, chocolate fudge and a shot of steaming espresso.

Once Upon A Milkshake

Once Upon A Milkshake (OUAM, pronounced “ohm”) derived from fairytale phrase "Once upon a time....." and it's owner Mr Alvin Ng is someone who loves ice-creams and milkshakes. He wanted his products to be “premium but without the premium prices” so he figured the best way was to use quality ice creams to achieve the desire products and sell them at affordable prices.

Their ordering menu is very cartoon like and innovative menu. And to make your order of milkshake or ice-cream you just have to follow these 3 simple steps:-

1. Decide on whether you want a milkshake (mini or regular) or an ice cream (scoops or pint).

2. Choose from ten flavours, each one represented by a cute character such as Agent Strawberry and Spooky Mocha.

3. Optional: You can to add extra toppings such as chocolate pearls, peanuts, crushed chocolate chip cookies and etc.

Chocolate Truffle Castle Milkshake (back) wins the heart of all chocolate lovers with it's rich and mouth watering chocolate milkshake together with some extra chocolate bits for bite. Mangonista Milkshake(front) which is a fragrant Mango flavour ice-cream milkshake that suits those who prefer something more refreshing and light.

Regular Agent Strawberry Milkshake that serves with generous amount of tangy real strawberries. According to some read up, they used 100% fresh strawberries to make their ice cream that customers who order this will get to taste the real strawberries in it.

Regular Grumbling Raisin Milkshake served with alcoholic rum ice cream and rum-soaked raisin.

CHOCOLATE ECSTASY

My boy's first priority of choice when comes to ice-cream is always either chocolate or cookies and cream. So when he spotted these two flavour in the freezer he can't wait but to keep asking me to let them sample first.

And to my surprised he actually ditched his favourite brand of chocolate ice-cream and ask me to get more of this NZN Chocolate Ecstasy for him. He told me he loves the rich and chocolatey taste which true enough i find it taste better with a smooth finishing taste and tinge of bitterness if compared to the other bands. Further more according to NZN website, Chocolate Ecstasy ice cream was rated the best amongst a similar flavour from three other competitors in a blind test conducted by a research company (Euro RSCG Research).

Upon opening the cover you will be greeted by it's vibrant colour which similar to peach and smooth texture with refreshing taste. According to their leaflet this mango sorbet is blended into a smooth puree using fresh tropical mangos that comes with natural sweetness.

CLASSIC VANILLA

As you have read up from one of my recent post(HERE), NZN Classic Vanilla ice-cream is voted as one of the most popular pick among the other two leading brands of Vanilla ice-cream in Singapore. Those who have tried NZN Classic Vanilla commented that it has the smoothest texture compare to the rest and it's mild creamy taste blend well either by having it plain or serve as a topper on apple pie or brownie. Which is your favourite Premium Ice-Cream And Flavour?

As a mum with a young kid at home, our freezer compartment is always fill with either one/two tubs of our family after meal dessert - "ice-cream". And our usual all-time favourite will be either Chocolate/Cookies and Cream for my boy whereas Vanilla for me in order to make my enhance my root beer float or serve as a topper for my homemade brownies or crepes.

Sometime I always think we are so fortunate to live in Singapore whereby we can easily access to a wide range of Ice-Creams either manufactured in local or air-flown from overseas. And as you can see from the above photo, there are so many different brands of ice-cream from budget to premium displaying in the fridge area waiting for you to pick it up.

Often some of the loyalty brands which attracts most of the consumers will be like Haggen Dazs or Ben and Jerry's whereby they always come in a bundle promotion of S$20++ for two tubs in assorted flavours that you can choose from.

On top of all those familiar ice-cream brands, this month from July onwards you can find another 6 different flavours from New Zealand Natural(NZN) sitting side by side with those premium brands EXCLUSIVELY only in all Cold Storage Supermarket outlets island wide. And I am sure this is a great news for NZN consumers like us where we can now enjoy our favourite premium ice-creams at more accessible areas rather running down to their outlets in town or east side areas.

For curiosity, last week I also did a quick survey on my facebook page(Cuisine Paradise) to see what's the usual trend of getting ice-cream for home consumers base loyalty brands or promotion factors. If you are interested to find out more about their comments, you can follow the link HERE or you can also drop me your view/comments here base on:-

~ What's your criteria for choosing a tub of Premium Ice-cream? Is it because of its unique flavour, process of making(ie. fat free), ingredients or(ie. using fresh fruits) OR?

~ What makes you continue to purchase your usual premium ice-cream with a particular flavour that you insists of? (example: Haggen Dazs's Green Tea, Ben & Jerry's Peanut Butter or New Zealand Natural Hokey Pokey)

Hope to see your views regarding  your favourite brand and flavour soon.
