Honey Chicken

Today while getting some groceries in the supermarket I saw this interesting Honey Chicken recipe from one of the recipe cards on shelf. And since I have most of the ingredients at home, I decided to grab some chicken meat and try out the recipe.

Ingredients:
1 Teaspoon Chicken Seasoning Powder
1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
500g Chicken Wings/Chicken Pieces
1/2 Cup Corn Flour
Oil For Deep-frying
2 Teaspoons Oil
1 cm Ginger, shredded
Some Spring Onion, Shredded
Some Lemon Skin, Shredded

Sauce:
1 Chicken Stock Cube
2 Tablespoons Honey
4 Tablespoons Water
1 Teaspoon Corn Flour

Methods:
1. Season chicken with chicken seasoning powder and pepper then set aside for at least 10 minutes.
2. Coat chicken pieces evenly with corn flour, deep-fry in hot oil for about 8 minutes or until cooked, drain and set aside.
3. Heat 2 Tablespoons of oil in frying pan, saute ginger for 1 minute before adding sauce ingredients and cook until thickened .
4. Add in chicken and coat it evenly with the sauce. Remove and serve.
5. Meanwhile you can also scatter some shredded spring onion and lemon rind to enhance the flavour.
