This new innovative kitchen gadget can also help most working woman to reduce time spent in the kitchen and yet produce decent and hearty meal for the family like what shown above. And most importantly we all gets to enjoy our favourite home cook food with less oil and healthier cooking methods.

I am impressed that the Slim Fry Chicken taste so tender and juicy just like our usual steamed chicken.

BAKED SALMON WITH ASSORTED VEGGIES

Beside the Slim Fry Chicken dish above, here is another quick "one plate" dish which you can easily prepare during weekday dinner with mix and match ingredients that you prefer.  Even though I used salmon cutlet for this recipe but you can always pick other choices like salmon fillet, cod fish or any firm fish fillet that is suitable for baking.

(Serves: 1 | Preparation: 5 minutes | Cooking Mode: Microwave+Convection 10 minutes)

Ingredients:
  • 1 Piece (180g) Salmon Cutlet
  • 1 Small Carrot, cut into 0.5" chunk
  • 4 Brown Button Mushroom, cut into quarters
  • Some Cherry Tomato
  • Some Broccoli Floret, blanched in hot water
  • Japanese Mayonnaise

Method:-
1. For easy cleaning, lay "crusty plate" with greaseproof paper. Season carrot, mushroom and cherry tomato with drizzle/brush of olive oil, ground pepper and pinch of sea salt flake.

2. Place salmon cutlet and assorted vegetables (except broccoli) together on the "crusty plate", drizzle some Japanese Mayonnaise on salmon cutlet then place the plate on "low rack" and put it on the turntable in the oven.

3. Press the Microwave+Convection button until it shows the preset temperature at "180", set cooking time by turning the Dial Knob clockwise 10 minutes (or more depend on the weight and thickness of the salmon cutlet). You can add in the blanched broccoli during last 2 - 3 minutes of cooking time.

BAKED PUMPKIN WITH RICE STUFFING

Made this one Baked Pumpkin with Rice Stuffing for Halloween dinner last week and the end result was just as good as those bake in my build in oven. With this 3rd successful recipes it also makes me more comfortable with the new oven and eager to try out its other available features too.

For this recipe I combine two cooking methods into one such as; bake the pumpkin and rice in Convection Mode for 40 minutes then Slim Fry the frozen chicken mid-joints and cherry tomato before serving them together.

(Serves: 2 | Preparation: 10 minutes | Cooking Mode: Convection - 40 minutes)

Ingredients:
  • 1 Small Pumpkin, around 1 - 1.2 kg
  • 2 Cups Cooked Brown Rice Mixture/White Rice
  • 1/4 Cup Frozen Mix Vegetables
  • 2 Taiwan Sausage, diced
  • 100g Cooked Chestnuts
  • 30g Golden Raisin
  • 30g Sliver Almond, optional
  • 1 Teaspoon Minced Garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon Minced Ginger

  • Seasoning:
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Light Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Cooking Wine

Method:-
1. Wash and cut a lid from the top of the pumpkin, remove seeds and fibers from it. Lightly brush the whole pumpkin (inside out) with some olive (remember to coat the lid as well).

2. Preheat the oven to 180ºC (degree celsius). Meanwhile saute the diced sausage for a few seconds then add in the mix vegetables and sliver almond. Give it a quick stir till mix vegetables are cooked through.

3. Toss in minced ginger and garlic, fry the mixture till fragrance then add in cooked rice and stir through quickly before adding in the chestnut and raisin.

4. Lastly season the fried rice accordingly. Turn off the heat and scoop rice mixture into prepared pumpkin. Stuffed rice mixture tightly in the pumpkin and cover it with the lid before baking.

5. Arrange the stuffed pumpkin on "crusty plate", place plate on the "low rack" and put it on the turntable in the oven.

6. Press the Convection button until it shows the preset temperature at "180", set cooking time by turning the Dial Knob clockwise 30 minutes (or more depend on the weight of the pumpkin). For this recipe, I baked for another additional 10 minutes after the initial 30 minutes preset time.

7. Press Start/+30s button to bake the pumpkin until the preset time ends.

8. Stand food in the oven for 30 seconds to a minute before removing it and serve warm.

2. Press the Slim Fry button until it shows the preset cooking function at "8" (for chicken), set cooking time by turning the Dial Knob clockwise to select the weight of food to determine the cooking time.

3. Press the Start/+30s button.

4. Half way through the cooking process you will hear a beep sound, open the oven door and turnover the mid-joint. Add in the cherry tomatoes which have being drizzle with olive oil and ground pepper.

5. Press Start/+30s to continue the cooking process (you might not need to complete the whole process of preset cooking time depending on the size of the mid-joints. So do check them out at the last 5 minutes of cooking time to prevent it from getting burnt).

Double Chocolate Chips Muffin - Using Convection Mode
